·Anyone
who has a sincere desire to align himself/herself with the
rhythm and flow of universal consciousness can easily learn
Reiki.
· In
Komyo ReikiDo, students progress along the continuum of learning
and growth in four stages: Shoden,
Chuden, Okuden, and Shinpiden.
Energy healing and spiritual development are intertwined
throughout the four levels.
·The purpose of the
teachings and the practices introduced at each level is to help
individuals access and recognize the Reiki state (their true
nature), gain familiarity with it, deepen it, stabilize it (make
it an unbroken experience), and integrate it into daily life.
·Students receive specific
attunements at each stage. (An attunement is a process which
enhances resonance between personal Being and Universal Being.)
However, the attunements only mark new beginnings. At each
level, new doors are opened and students are invited to step
into new territory. How far they will travel depends on their
efforts. Students grow in depth, understanding, and ability
through their own committed practice.
·The
Gendai Reiki Weekend Intensive Course for existing Reiki
Masters covers all four levels.
·For students from out of
town, classes can be arranged as needed for all levels.
Arrangements for convenient accomodation are also possible.

dates of upcoming classes, please contact

Begin right and you are easy.
Continue easy and you are right.
The right way to go easy is to forget the right way
and forget that the going is easy."

Reiki Ryoho is introduced as the art of
"not-doing"; students begin by "being as they are" and inviting
the potential for harmony, health, balance, and reconciliation
which already exists within them to manifest outwardly. This
ability is so natural and so easily brought forth that even
children can learn to practice Reiki in one day.
At this level,
·students experience a first
shift in consciousness,
·engage their natural
ability to heal with their hands,
·learn how to treat self and
others (including animals, food , and water),
·examine specific hand
placements used for specific ailments,
·learn how to improve
emotional balance and general well-being,
·compare the energy healing
model to the medical model,
·learn how to bring health
and harmony to their homes and work places by eliminating
energetic toxicity,
· learn ethical principles
for healthy, balanced living,
· learn about the philosophy
of Reiki,
· learn energetic practices
designed to raise their level of energy and consciousness,
·examine materials
concerning the history of Reiki Ryoho and its founder,
Usui-sensei,
· learn how to distinguish
between the myriad of options offered as Reiki today.
Length of instruction: one full day, (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and three
half-day follow-up classes
Following the initial class, regular attendance of Reiki
Practice Circles is strongly recommended.

"Put away all hindrances,
let your mind full of love pervade one quarter of the world,
and so too the second quarter, and so the third, and so the
fourth,
and thus the whole wide world, above, below, around, and
everywhere,
altogether continue to pervade with love-filled thought,
abounding, sublime, beyond measure..."
(The Buddha)

There is a deeper reality which underlies the
world of physical phenomena. At this level, students begin to
strengthen their connection to Universal Being and understand that
Reiki Ryoho is the practice of love, harmony, and balance rooted
in their core self and sincere intentions.
At this level, students
· experience a further shift
in consciousness,
· understand that anyone can
mentally connect to any target in the universe and learn how to
perform distant healing,
· understand that health is
naturally restored when mental/emotional balance is
re-established,
· learn how to perform
mental/emotional healing,
· begin to heal the effects
of past trauma and karma,
· begin to attract positive,
healthy, harmonious future consequences,
· begin to create inner and
outer harmony, for the benefit of self and others,
· begin to heal
relationships,
· learn how to discover the
origin of a disease and treat at the source,
· begin to practice
self-understanding and self-acceptance and develop greater respect
for self and others,
· practice self-purification
and self-growth techniques,
· continue to improve their
concentration skills and to raise their level of energy and
consciousness,
· begin to share the
benefits of Reiki with a larger number of people.
Length of instruction: one full day, (10a.m. to
6p.m.)
Regular attendance of Reiki
Circles continues to be strongly recommended.

"Love yourself and be
awake - today, tomorrow, always.
First establish yourself in the way, then teach others and so
defeat sorrow.
To straighten the crooked,
you must first do a harder thing: straighten yourself.
You are your only master. Who else?
Subdue yourself and discover your master."
(The Buddha)

Students qualify for this level of instruction if
they
·have demonstrated commitment to
their personal Reiki practice,
·have
experienced consistently the effects of Reiki in daily life,
· have reached a certain
level of character refinement and understanding,
· have developed a certain
level of sensitivity in their energy healing practice,
· are ready to commit to a
deeper spiritual practice for the purpose of further
psycho-spiritual integration.
At this level
· the relationship between
teacher and student becomes truly significant; therefore, in
addition to specific class time, there are numerous one on one
discussions and impromptu meetings which address the student's
needs, questions, and concerns as well as support growth, deep
healing, the development of inner peace, wisdom, and the on-going
opening of the heart;
·students work towards
deepening and stabilizing the "Reiki state", thus eventually
becoming foci of harmony themselves and bringing healing to every
aspect of their lives, their relationships, environment, and
communities through simple, spontaneous, correct action which
proceeds from the stillness of the heart;
· the emphasis is placed on
inner practice involving concentration and meditation.
The ideals of this stage become the work of a
lifetime:
"Live in joy, in love,
Even among those who hate.
Live in joy, in health,
Even among the afflicted.
Live in joy, in peace,
Even among the troubled.
Look within, be still,
Free from fear and attachment,
Know the sweet joy of the way."

This level is for those students who wish to become teachers
themselves. The title of Reiki master awarded at this level does
not imply that Reiki mastery has been achieved. Reiki masters
are simply students who feel called to teach and who continue to
learn through teaching. True mastery, rather than being a matter
of receiving an initiation, is the result of a life committed to
practice.
At this level,
·further emphasis is
placed on understanding the nature and purpose of Reiki,
· Reiki philosophy is
revisited,
· students examine the
duties and standards involved in being a Reiki teacher,
· students learn how to
give attunements and Reiju,
· students receive support
in the establishment of a teaching practice.

we do not live from self.
we simply play our part in the universe,
happily doing what reality gives us to do."

This comprehensive fast-paced course is for
existing Reiki Masters, both new and experienced, who feel that
there might be more to the practice than what they have already
learned and who wish to return to the roots of Reiki.
Participants receive four manuals (Shoden,
Okuden, Shinpiden, Gokuikaiden) which they can use in their
classes.
The course material includes
· Reiki philosophy (a
discussion of the nature and ultimate purpose of Reiki Ryoho),
· an overview of Reiki
facts, fantasies, and theories - what we know, what we think we
know, and what we would like to know (stressing the importance of
discrimination and impeccability),
· a discussion of the Reiki
symbols in the context of Reiki philosophy (their origin, meaning,
and ultimate purpose),
· specific hand placements
for treating specific ailments,
· original healing methods
developed by Usui Sensei,
· original meditation and
energetic practices to enhance the level of energy flow, deepen
the inner connection, and raise the level of consciousness,
· Gendai style attunements,
Reiju ("booster attunement" offered at Reiki Circles/ Shares) and
self-Reiju (a method of re-attuning oneself)
Offered in two formats: one-on-one or small group
Length of instruction: two full days (10a.m. to
6p.m.) and three half-day follow-up classes
